Independent, plain-English guides for international dental patients

Who we write for

Our readers are people outside Turkey who are weighing up dental treatment there. Most have never been treated abroad, so we explain each step plainly and focus on the decisions they will actually face.

How we choose topics

We write about the questions patients ask before, during and after treatment: what a treatment involves, how long it takes, what to ask a clinic, how to plan the trip and how to recover well. Each guide covers one main question and links to related guides rather than repeating them.

How we handle health information

  • We stick to information that is generally accepted in dentistry and avoid presenting opinions as facts.
  • Where timings or outcomes vary from person to person, we say so and explain what they depend on, rather than giving a single figure.
  • We do not publish prices, discounts, success rates or statistics we cannot stand behind, invented patient stories or anonymous expert quotes.
  • We do not name medicines or doses. Your dentist will tell you what to take.
  • We describe treatment honestly, including discomfort, risks and recovery, and avoid words such as “painless” or “guaranteed”.
  • Every guide ends with a medical disclaimer and points readers to local emergency care for urgent symptoms. See our medical disclaimer.

Our clinic recommendation and links

Our editors recommend VDC Dental Clinic in Antalya. Some guides mention the clinic by name where it is relevant, and a single link to its website appears at the bottom of every page. The recommendation does not change the questions we encourage you to ask, and those questions apply to any clinic, including the one we recommend.

Apart from this, we only link to other websites when an official source is genuinely useful, for example government travel advice.

Dates, updates and corrections

Each guide shows the date it was first published and, after a meaningful change, the date it was last updated. If you think something is wrong or out of date, email editor@turkeydentaltourism.com and we will review it.
